Che Guevara Works Added To UNESCO Register

Considering the purpose of  UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) is:

"to contribute to peace and security by promoting collaboration among nations through education, science and culture in order to further universal respect for justice, for the rule of law and for the human rights and fundamental freedoms which are affirmed for the peoples of the world, without distinction of race, sex, language or religion, by the Charter of the United Nations".
it's rather ironic that the organization has added "The Life and Works of Ernesto Che Guevara" to its Memory of the World Register. The same ruthless, vicious Che who killed countless innocent individuals in an effort to establish communism in Latin American countries.

In his own words:

"Crazy with fury I will stain my rifle red while slaughtering any enemy that falls in my hands! My nostrils dilate while savoring the acrid odor of gunpowder and blood. With the deaths of my enemies I prepare my being for the sacred fight and join the triumphant proletariat with a bestial howl!"
"Hatred as an element of struggle; unbending hatred for the enemy, which pushes a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him into an effective, violent, selective, and cold-blooded killing machine. This is what our soldiers must become … "
Charming.

Florida Republican congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen had this to say about the decision:

“This decision is more than an insult to the families of those Cubans who were lined up and summarily executed by Che and his merciless cronies but it also serves as a direct contradiction to the UNESCO ideals of encouraging peace and universal respect for human rights."
She is demanding that the Obama administration stop trying to re-instate funding for UNESCO. $225 million worth. Apparently they currently don't receive any monies from the U.S.

567 documents will be part of the collection, including his "Motorcycle Diary" which was made into a film glorifying his past.
